Death Game is just out, but reviews have been terrific. Here is a recent one from talented author, Jackie Griffey. Seven more reviews are going up on my website at: www.cherylswanson.net

DEATH GAME is such gripping entertainment it plays across your brain like a fast paced movie.

Cooper O'Brien, USC film school graduate and at the moment, job seeker, is hired by Rick Capra, a personal injury attorney, to create animated reenactments of accidents to use in personal injury trials. Cooper's current problems are: her beloved father is dead; her mother is dying, hit by a drunk driver who got off with a slap on the wrist; she has issues with her teenage brother who lives with her; and Rick, her boss, is also her husband.

Cooper and Rick are not divorced, they simply decided seven years ago to keep their distance. Cooper needs this job and it's a continuing love-hate relationship between her and Rick with more suspicion than lust. All that fades to mere background noise when the police show Cooper a video of her young brother, Jimmie, shooting another boy. She does not believe her brother is a killer. She works with film and knows this scene could have been changed and inserted. Cooper sets out to find the original tape, the motive, and the killer.

The scenes, the sometimes brilliant, always unsavory characters, and the brutally realistic encounters between Cooper and the people who stand in her way put Hollywood to shame. You'll catch yourself holding your breath as Cheryl Swanson's expertise grabs you into the action and you cannot put this book down.

You don't have to be a computer geek or a cyberspace expert to enjoy DEATH GAME. It's not just a book, it's an experience. Go get yourself a copy and you'll be looking for more from Cheryl Swanson. The good news is, there's a sequel on the way!
